Today we're pulling the cover off the GGR Lion G1 — the new flagship of our electric line and the most capable two-wheeler we've ever built. The Lion G1 was designed from the ground up for the way Southeast Asia actually rides: dense city traffic, sudden monsoon downpours, and long weekend runs out of town.
At its heart is an 11 kW liquid-cooled mid-drive motor that delivers instant, linear torque from a standstill. Power is fed by dual swappable 72V lithium packs, giving the Lion G1 up to 150 km of real-world range — and the ability to top up in seconds by swapping a fresh pack instead of waiting at a charger.
Why mid-drive?
Putting the motor at the bike's centre of mass — rather than in the rear hub — lowers the centre of gravity, sharpens handling, and lets us run a proper chain final drive. The result is a bike that feels planted in corners and effortless to flick through traffic.
The headline numbers
- 11 kW liquid-cooled mid-drive motor
- Top speed of 120 km/h
- Up to 150 km range on dual swappable 72V packs
- 0–80% charge in ~2.5 hours with the GGR FastCharge 3.0
- IP67-rated drivetrain — rides through the monsoon
- 6.8" colour TFT dash with full app connectivity
We didn't want a science project. We wanted an electric motorcycle a rider in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta or Bangkok could buy, trust, and ride every single day.
The Lion G1 launches in Malaysia first, from RM13,999, with Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam to follow. Reserve yours through your nearest GGR dealer, or read on for our deep dives into range, charging and the daily commute.
